Shaun Lumachi was an active contributor to the Greater Long Beach community. A former employee and consultant for The Long Beach Area Chamber for many years, he was also the co-founder and publisher of Long Beach’s highly subscribed multimedia publication, the Long Beach Post, and served on numerous organizations’ board of directors, including as Chair of the Small Business Development Center at Long Beach City College. This award aims to recognize and celebrate the entrepreneurial and community spirit that Shaun embodied, and his legacy.

ELIGIBILITY: The Shaun Lumachi Rising Star Award recognizes entrepreneurs that are on the rise, who demonstrated high growth potential or job creation, and have exhibited a strong entrepreneurial mindset and tenacity in growing and developing their business, while engaging the community to create positive impact for the greater Long Beach area and beyond.

The Rising Star award will be awarded during the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year event April 23, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach.
