Follow #SBDCDay on social media to see how SBDCs have impacted small businesses nationwide
SBDCDay is the first national, collective celebration of the success and impact America’s Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) have across the nation in economic development and small business communities. The first America’s SBDCDay will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
SBDCDay will unite over one thousand SBDCs nationwide and the hundreds of thousands of clients they serve by sharing, in real time, the success stories and notable impacts SBDCs have on the small business community at large.
Social media will play a central role in the promotion and celebration of SBDCDay. Small businesses, partners, and advocates are invited to help spread the word about SBDCDay. Participants can share how their local SBDC has created a difference in their life, business, and/or community using the hashtag, #SBDCDay. #SBDCDay will bring a variety of unique, live and, virtual celebrations around the country to raise the visibility of America’s SBDC and its clients. This special day will also be celebrated through public relations initiates, campaigns, and online and in person events.
“We expect #SBDCDay to generate major buzz about what SBDCs have been doing behind the scenes for all these years so that every business owner knows about the SBDC in their community and can take advantage of all the great programs and services they have to offer,” said Jacqueline Taylor, America’s SBDC Marketing & Communications Committee Chair and Associate State Director of Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network.
“We are thrilled to see SBDCs around the country working together to celebrate their clients and showcase the work they do for America’s small businesses. Congratulations to all SBDCs”, said Charles “Tee” Rowe, America’s SBDC President & CEO.
