How to Survive: Assembly Bill 5 and Independent Contractors

Do you work as an independent contractor or hire any? Are you confused by or unaware of Assembly Bill 5 (AB 5), the new law governing the engagement of independent contractors? This workshop will help you better understand important technicalities about this law so as to avoid fines and penalties.

Topics covered will include:
• Explanation of the new Independent Contractor law (AB5)
• Which businesses, professions and trades are exempt from AB5
• Discussion of the criteria to be an independent contractor
• Ramifications for violation of AB5
